Can I customize a box?
We have worked very hard to curate the perfect boxes for each type of trauma/grief. So while you cannot customize the items that go into each box you can customize the card that is sent with the box! This is where you can write any message you want to the person receiving the package.
What are text nudges?
We know that it can be difficult to know how to be there for your friends who are going through tough times. So while the gift box is a GREAT start, it is exactly that — just a start. Support should continue with random check-ins, home-cooked meals, offers to help with errands, etc. That is where the text nudges come in. When you purchase a box, you will begin receiving bi-weekly text messages with tips on how to be there for your friend that week. We are here to help you show up for your friends both when the wounds are fresh, and when they are scabbed over.
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of this company, we do not offer returns and all sales are final. That being said, if you have any questions or concerns with your purchase, please reach out to info@ughboxes.com so we can address it.
Will there be more boxes?
Yes! We have a lot of boxes in the works. Some of these include boxes to support people dealing with the loss of a loved one, infertility, struggling teachers, and mental health. If you want to know when these boxes are released, sign up for our newsletter!
Do you make your own products? Or are the gifts curated from other small businesses? What kind of companies do you support if so?
We currently curate our gifts from other small businesses. When searching for who to support, we put an emphasis on women and minority owned shops, as well as stores who share our values of compassion and inclusivity. We don’t have any of our own products online quite yet, but join our email list to be the first to know when new goods are released!
What is your lead time?
Boxes will be shipped within 2 working days.
Where all do you deliver? Can I get a tracking number for my order?
We currently deliver to anywhere in the United States. When your box is sent, you’ll receive a tracking number to your email so you can watch your box make its way to its final destination.
Do you send a receipt in the box?
Nope! You’ll receive an email receipt as the sender, but the gift box will be sent without a physical receipt.
What credentials do you have when it comes to the education you’re providing?
Because grief and trauma looks so different for everyone, we will never claim to be experts on what to say and how to say it. However, we partner with thought leaders, health professionals, and therapists to ensure that the education we share are backed by neuroscience. Besides the countless research leaning on the experts, we also gain much of our insights through our audience of people who have experienced each specific trauma. For example, we spoke with hundreds of moms as we curated the motherhood box and our support texts.
Furthermore, many of our blogs are opinion pieces or narratives meant to inspire others through shared experiences.
